Since the media luncheon for the Dream Classic takes place today at 12:30 p.m. at Lawry's The Prime Rib, we thought we'd put out a little reminder for those who haven't yet made up their minds about attending. On the game front, we've heard from Dinos and read what Ben Bolch has to say in the LA Times, and it looks like there are just a few $10 upper-level tickets remaining, so if you haven't gotten a ticket yet, get one today, because this could be a sellout.

The media luncheon today should also be fun. It will be a chance to rub shoulders with some of the top high school athletes in the country, many of whom are destined for great college, and in the case of James, pro careers. And if you haven't had the pleasure, you can also ask Dinos Trigonis all the questions you want....Of course, he won't answer, but that's ok.....And, more importantly, it will be a chance for all the media guys to get together and eat lunch, not that anyone wants to hang around with them, but hey, that's why they call it a "media luncheon." Really, we're not exactly certain what will happen at the media luncheon, but we'll report on it so it will not be a mystery to anyone who has to miss it. Seriously, this will be a great time to meet the players, meet the coaches and get into the spirit of the Dream Classic. And the food will be pretty good too....See you there.

Media Luncheon Friday January 3rd at Lawry's (Beverly Hills)

The 9th annual Pangos Dream Classic presented by PlyoCity will be held on Saturday January 4, 2003 at UCLA's Pauley Pavilion. This year's event features the #1 player in the nation 6'7" senior LeBron James and his nationally ranked St. Vincent-St. Mary Irish (Akron OH) taking on Street & Smith preseason basketball yearbook's #1 HS team in the nation Mater Dei Monarchs (Santa Ana CA).

This year's event will also include the Pangos Dream Classic Media Luncheon on Friday January 3rd at world famous Lawry's Prime Rib in Beverly Hills from 12:30pm-3:00pm. Lawry's is located at 100 North La Cienega Blvd.,Beverly Hills CA 90211 (310) 652-2827. The cost of attending is $30.00 (which includes lunch) and can be purchased at the door that day. Reservations are highly recommended and all interested parties should call Phil Gatton at (714) 272-9449 to confirm their attendance. All media and members of the general public are welcome to attend.
