Riverside King To Host "MLK, Jr. Day
Extravaganza" On Jan. 20--(Jan. 6, 2003)

		Canyon Springs vs. Upland
		Riverside Poly vs. Rim of the World
		& four more top matchups....

We don't know very much other than the schedule of this event, but MLK, Jr. HS head coach Brian Sweeney asked us if we could get the word out about this event, which is turning out to be an annual ritual at Riverside MLK. And at least they don't have to pay a rights fee for the use of the MLK, Jr. name like other event operators have to, which has actually caused many such events either to reschedule to a different day, or to simply change their names. Whether that's a good thing or not is not for us to debate, but suffice it to say, this event looks like it will feature a great showcase for some of the best teams from in and around the Inland Empire. Here's the schedule of games:

Morning/Afternoon Session

9:00 a.m.	Cajon vs. Bishop Amat
10:30 a.m.	San Gorgonio vs. Elsinore
12:00 p.m.	Ayala vs. Etiwanda
1:30 p.m.	Murrieta Valley vs. Northwood

Afternoon/Evening Session

3:30 p.m.	Riverside Poly vs. Rim of World
5:00 p.m.	Canyon Springs vs. Upland
6:30 p.m.	Glendora vs. Temescal Canyon
8:00 p.m.	Riverside King vs. Rialto Eisenhower
