CIF-SS Boys Division II-AA Bracket:
Wild Cards & One 1st Round Result--(Feb. 20, 2003)
This is a 32-team bracket with six "Wild-Card" games played last night and one first round game which was also scheduled for last night. Here are the wild-card game results:

Westlake 65, Dos Pueblos 64--Jonathan Wiley had 22 points and made four consecutive
free throws to give host Westlake (18-8) a 65-61 lead with 19 seconds left. Westlake led
34-23 at halftime.
JW North 56, Cerritos 52--Marcus Slaughter scored 16 points to lead North, which will face Woodbridge on Friday. Cerritos finishes 17-10.
Antelope Valley 59, Claremont 57--Abram Thomas scored 18 points to lead Antelope Valley (13-14).
Foothill 65, Edison 53--Brandt Bangs made three
three-pointers and had 25 points and Ben Worrall had 10 points for host Foothill (16-11),
which led by 10 points at halftime. David Huff made four three-pointers and had 14 points
for Edison (16-11).
Mira Costa 57, Rio Mesa 56--Kyle Darr scored 14 points and Rocky Cisaulli added 11
points, eight rebounds and three assists to spark Mira Costa (16-12) on the road for the
wild-card win. The Mustangs travel to Moorpark on Friday at 7:30 p.m. in the first round.
J.R. Martinez added nine points and Steve Bertrand had seven. Steven Segovia and Robin
Harkins both scored 14 points to lead host Rio Mesa (15-11).
There was also a first round game played last night as well:
Corona Centennial 93, Bloomington 62-- Junior guard Jarrod Poulsen scored a team-high 20 points, but the visiting Bruins were eliminated from the Division II-AA playoffs after a loss to the Huskies in the first round. Senior forward Denzel Day added nine rebounds for Bloomington, which was outscored 52-32 in the second half

All games with the exception of the final round will start at 7:30 p.m. unless another time is mutually agreed upon and clearance is received from the CIF-SS Office. Public coin flips will be held in the lobby of the CIF-SS Office at 9:00 a.m. the day following each playoff game [these coin flips will determine subsquent sites after the first round, i.e., which school will be the host]. Coin flips will be available after 9:30 a.m. and we'll try to keep everyone posted with them here.
