Yup. These guys were no doubt the best of the best at this camp. And a few of them are also among the best of the best in their class, which is pretty impressive. We'll post some photos later, but in the meantime, here are the rosters for the "Best of the Best" game.

Lorenzo Mata | 6'-9" | 230 | C/F | 04 | South Gate | CA |
One other player was named to the list, Hector Hernandez (6'-9" Sr. C/F) from Lincoln HS in Colorado, but he didn't play (or if he did, we didn't see him, and he'd be pretty hard to miss at that size). Probably a plane he had to catch, which sometimes happens since this game didn't get going until well after 12:00 noon.
Anyway, more on this game later, and it was a very good game with Lorenzo Mata and Todd Follmer actually going at it pretty hard underneath, to balance out the very good guard play. We will make one mention though because he deserves it, and in our view was one of the best players in the camp, regardless of region, and regardless of class: Ralph Mims....Just remember the name, especially if you like Big East basketball (that's if there's still a Big East when the dust settles). Wherever he chooses to play, this kid is going to be big-time. We want to thank Tom Nollette and the guys at MBR.com for tipping us off to his presence at the camp, not that his game needed any introduction, and he would hardly have been missed had they not told us about him. A great player. Really.
In the meantime, we want to extend our congratulations to the guys who were selected to this all-star game. We look forward to seeing you progress through the ranks of the recruiting process and in your college careers and who knows, maybe beyond....
