Chinese Junior Olympic Team To Play
IEBP & Slam Jam Stars--(Oct. 2, 2003)

Most people visiting our men's message board know by now that the Chinese Junior Olympic team will be here in SoCal beginning this weekend and next week.   Actually, they will play two different sets of games.   Here's the scoop.

What:  Chinese Jr. Olympic Team vs. IEBP Stars
When: Sunday, Oct. 5, 2003
Where:  Los Osos HS, Rancho Cucamonga
Time:  7:00 p.m.

The first will be played in the Inland Empire this coming Sunday, October 5, 2003 at Los Osos HS at 7:00 p.m. as the Chinese team will play a group of players from IEBP.   According to a message we received from Keith Howard and Julius Patterson, the coaches of the IEBP team, "China's Junior Olympic team features some of the tallest high school basketball players known to the game.  The average height of these players is 6'-7", and the team boasts four players over 7'-0".   The Chinese team will play its first game against an IEBP squad which will include Anthony Dandridge (6'3" Wing 2004 Cajon HS),   vAndrew Hatch (6'1" Guard 2004 Ayala HS),  Trey Clark (6'5" Forward 2004 Santiago HS),  Timothy Denson (6'0" Guard 2004 Santiago HS),  David Carter (6'0" Guard 2005 Etiwanda HS),  Daniel Fleming (6'8" Wing 2004 Murrieta Valley HS),  Ira Graham (6'1" Guard 2004 Fontana HS),  Byron Marks (6'3" Wing 2004 Rancho Cucamonga HS),  Michael Boone (7'0" Center 2004 Loma Linda Academy),  Stephen Colvin (6'10" Center 2005 Yucaipa HS), and Andrew Green (6'6" Forward 2004 Peris HS).

Again, this first game is this Sunday at Los Osos HS, located at 6001 Milliken Avenue, Rancho Cucamonga, CA.  For driving directions, click this link to MapQuest.   You can also get more information on the game by checking the IEBP website

What:  Chinese Jr. Olympic Team vs. Slam Jam Stars
When:  Thursday, October 9, 2003
Where: Cleveland HS, Reseda, CA
Time:   7:30 p.m.

The second game that the Chinese Junior Olympic Team will play in will take place this coming Thursday, October 9, 2003 at 7:30 p.m. at Cleveland HS, in Reseda.  The Chinese players will match up against a group of players from in and around the San Fernando Valley and adjacent areas. We're not quite sure who will be playing for the Slam Jam team, but there are plenty of top players in and around the Valley region who could certainly give these guys a run for their money.  Anyone who has further questions about this event should contact Jack Pollon at 818-680-3923.
