Division III-AA Bracket

3/7/04 Update:  Congratulations to Rancho Santa Margarita Catholic HS, the 2003-04 CIF-SS Division III-AA Champions and to Calabasas HS, the Division runner-up.


This was a 32-team bracket with no wild card games.  The four "seeded" teams in the bracket were Santa Margarita, Ocean View, Calabasas and Atascadero.    All first round games began on Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2004, and the host team was the one listed second in the bracket (preceded by the @ symbol).  Tickets for the finals on Saturday at the Pond were $9.00 for general admission, $5.00 for students and children, and they were good for all four games of the morning session.   Here's the bracket:

All games with the exception of the final round started at 7:30 p.m. unless another time was mutually agreed upon and clearance was received from the CIF-SS Office.  Public coin flips were held in the lobby of the CIF-SS Office at 9:00 a.m. the day following each playoff game [these coin flips determined subsquent sites after the first round, i.e., which school was the host].  Coin flips were available after 9:30 a.m. following each game and posted here and at the CIF-SS website.   Whether a coin flip was utilized and the results are not shown in the bracket above.
