LA City Section CIF Boys
All-City Teams Announced--(Mar. 26, 2004)
The Los Angeles Times today released the names of the Los Angeles City Section CIF "All-City Section" teams, as selected by a group of sportswriters from the Times.
Two players were selected as Co-MVP's this year. They are: Jordan Farmar of Taft and Josh Shipp of Fairfax
Here's the text of the small blurb which accompanied the list of players in today's Times:
"Seniors Jordan Farmar, who helped Woodland Hills Taft win the City Section championship, and Josh Shipp, who led City runner-up Fairfax to the state Division I title, were selected co-most valuable players for the City Section by sportswriters.
"The UCLA-bound guards were joined on the 12-man first team by future Bruin teammate Lorenzo Mata, a 6'-8" center from South Gate, and future USC guards Gabriel Pruitt of Westchester and Nick Young of Cleveland Reseda [sic].
"Rounding out the firfst team were seniors Jonathan Heard of Dorsey, Gerard Anderson of Carson and Christian Smith of Narbonne and juniors Jamal Boykin of Fairfax, Danny Williams of Fremont and D'Andre Bell of Palisades." --Lauren Peterson, LA Times
