2003-04 San Diego CIF Section's
Boys "All-CIF" Teams--(Mar. 31, 2004)
The San Diego Section announced their All-CIF Teams for Divisions I, II, III, IV and V this past Monday, the same day the CIF-SS sent out it's selections, but without a news blackout, San Diego's lists were published immediately. In the CIF-SS, the Amateur Atheletic Foundation (AAF) in conjunction with SCIBCA and media, select the teams; in San Diego, the awards are sponsored by the Brietbard Hall of Champions and selected by a CIF Advisory committee with input from the coaches in each division. San Diego has far fewer players overall (the CIF-San Diego section this year had 96 teams competing, as opposed to the CIF-SS, which has more than 500 teams competing), so their All-CIF selections are smaller overall, in number, with just 10 players per division, rather than the 20 per division which you see in the CIF-SS. The San Diego Section also didn't make available their "Coach of the Year" selections, and in fact, we're not even sure they give out such awards.
Below are the CIF-San Diego Section "All-CIF" teams for the 2003-04 season for each of the enrollment divisions, listed in order:
