(Games through 2/3/01)

Northwood Record: 18-6, 5-3. SCIBCA/CIF No. 8.   Playing with only underclassmen, Northwood has compiled an impressive record. Junior guard Matt Susson and soph Drew Terry lead this interesting and surprisingly good team. Beat Costa Mesa convincingly this week. Up Next: @ Estancia on Tuesday, 2/6 and then finish the season hosting University on 2/8.
T Crespi Record: 17-5, 7-3.  SCIBCA/CIF Poll No. 1:    A loss to Notre Dame again this week should mean a race for second place in league, with one more game against front-runner Loyola @ Loyola on Wednesday, 2/7.   We'd like to rank them No. 1, and they might turn out to be the best team in the division after all with Andrew Moore, Kingsley Anawanyu, Charlie Sheibler, and Allan Ellis leading.
T Cathedral Record: 13-8, 8-0 SCIBCA/CIF No. 3.  Look like a lock for the Santa Fe League title. Beat St. Gen on Friday, and play La Salle on Monday 2/5 @ Cathedral and then close out the regular season @ Murphy on 2/7, where Murphy will attempt a measure of revenge for an earlier overtime loss.
Murphy Record: 17-6, 6-2. SCIBCA/CIF No. 5.  Lost to La Salle on Friday and now are in a tie for second with La Salle. No longer ranked in the State rankings by Cal-Hi sports, but could rise again with a win this week against Cathedral.  Travis Singletary, Robert Soriano-Hewitt, Justin Turman, and Chukwuma Awaji continue to lead. Next Up: Bell Jeff @ Murphy on Monday 2/5, then Cathedral @ Murphy on 2/8
St. Bonaventure Record: 16-5, 6-0.  SCIBCA/CIF No. 7. Have won three straight since 1/20. Beat Bishop Diego by 18 on Friday. Next Up: @ Oak Park on Wednesday and then at Carpinteria on Friday, 2/9 to close the season.
Valley Christian-Cerritos Record: 15-5, 6-2.  SCIBCA/CIF No. 10.  The Crusaders lost to some higher enrollment division teams in the preseason but they are doing well in Olympic League, and will likely finish second or third. Up next: Calvary Santa Ana on Tuesday 2/6, and Whittier Christian @ home on 2/8.
Duarte Record: 15-7, 7-1 SCIBCA/CIF Poll "Others".   Beat Azusa on Friday and control the Montview League title race right now.   Next up: @ Bassett on 2/6, then  host Gladstone on 2/8 to close the regular season.
El Segundo Record: 15-10, 9-3.  SCIBCA/CIF Poll ranking "Others".  El Segundo is a lot tougher than most give them credit for being this year. Two more games: @ West Torrance on Tuesday, 2/6, then hosting Compton Centennial on Thursday, 2/8.
T St. Paul Record: 13-11, 3-3.  SCIBCA/CIF Poll No. 4.  A win over Serra on Friday night puts St. Paul in contention still for second place in the Del Rey league, which Bishop Montgomery has locked up.  A young team which will only get better, and which will challenge in the playoffs this year. Next Up:Hosting Bishop Montgomery on Monday 2/5, and then hosting St. Bernard to finish the regular season.
T La Salle Record: 15-8, 6-2.  SCIBCA/CIF No. 6.  Haven't lost since January 20, and have won four straight, including a 12 point win over Murphy on Friday. This team is not dominating, but it's not faltering either, and they are finally learning how to put together all four quarters. Next Up: A tough week with two away games to close the season: @ Cathedral on Monday, and @ Salesian on Thursday, 2/8 to close the regular league season.
Oak Park Record: 15-8, 4-2.  SCIBCA/CIF Poll "Others".  Also won three straight since 1/20 in league play.    Beat Fillmore by 9 on Friday. Next: Hosting St. Bonaventure on Tuesday, 2/7, the @ Bishop Diego on 2/9 for the league final game.
Marshall (Pasadena) Record: 13-6, 5-2.  SCIBCA/CIF Poll No. 9.   Won't win the Alpha League for the first time in a while, and both losses in league to Kilpatrick mean that the Mustangs will win it.  Lost to Buckley, to Price at the Rose City Rumble, but have beaten most other competition. One more season game at Village Christian on Thursday, 2/8.
T Orange Lutheran Record: 11-10,7-1 in Olympic League competition. SCIBCA/CIF Poll No. 2.   Next: @ Maranatha on 2/6 and then @ Calvary Santa Ana on 2/8.
