1 El Toro Record: 18-2, 3-1. Beat Mission Viejo on Friday 59-49. South Coast League title will be between El Toro and Capo Valley. Ashkan Nazeri, Matt Green, Ken Tanaka, and Chris Parrish lead. Up next: @ Dana Hills 1/22.
2 Glendora Record: 17-3, 2-3.   Baseline League is very tough with Upland and Claremont controlling. Last game: Glendora 77, at Chino 59, Kyle Bechler, Spencer Foster and Mike Mehana lead.   Next: 1/26 hosting Claremont.
3 Thousand Oaks Record: 15-4, 4-1.   Beat Newbury Park on Friday in a game that saw Kyle Kegley and Ben Olson score 21 points each. They've beaten Notre Dame, Simi Valley and some other good teams. Next up: Agoura @ TO on 1/24.
4 Crescenta Valley Record: 15-5, 3-1. Beat Pacific League rival Hoover on Friday but then lost to cross-town rival La Canada at the McDonald's Invitational on Saturday.  James Jenkins, Chris Tarne and Jimmy Goffredo are the leaders.  Up next: Arcadia @ CV on 1/23. 
5 Warren Record: 15-5, 2-2.  Lost to Gahr on Friday. Beat Paramount on Wednesday. Julian Assibey and Aaron Hobbensiefken are the team leaders.  Up next: Downey @ Warren on 1/24.
6 Loyola Record: 14-4, 5-1. Beat No. 1 ranked Crespi (D-IVAA), and beat Notre Dame also, but lost to St. Francis. . . need consistency. Omar Wilkes, Sean Crosner, Matt Llewellyn lead. Up next: @ Harvard-Westlake on 1/26 (H-W's schedule) or 1/27 (Loyola's schedule). 
7 Quartz Hills Record: 13-4, 3-1.  Beat Lancaster on Friday. Tony Johnson, Lankford and Josh Porter lead. Next up: hosting Littlerock on 1/26. 
8 Cajon Record: 13-6, 4-0.  Beat San Bernardino in a San Andreas League game on Friday.  Larry Dew and Romale Porter have been playing well. Next up: @ San Gorgonio on 1/23.
9 Murrieta Valley Record: 13-7, 2-1.  Dan Larsen, CJ Richardson, and several others lead.   Next up: Southwestern League game hosting Chaparral 1/24.
10 San Clemente Record: 12-4, 2-2. South Coast League is crowded, and San Clemente will likely come in third or lower. Beat Trabuco Hills on Friday. Tim Burnette, Eli Owens, James Hartman, Matt King, Jordan Fleener and Curtis Bush lead. Next: @ Mission Viejo on 1/22. 
11 Rancho Verde Record: 12-7, 2-0. Getting back into form with Oregon State signee JS Nash. Sunbelt League contenders. Next Up: 1/24 hosting Hemet West Valley.
12T Valencia (V) Record: 12-7, 3-1.  Valencia dropped its first Foothill League contest on Friday to Saugus (13-6, 4-0) and it should be a battle for the title when they meet again. Albert Ingram scoring a lot. Up next: Canyon Country Canyon @ Valencia 1/23. 
12T Mission Viejo Record: 12-8, 1-3.  South Coast League contender will have to get past El Toro Capo Valley and San Clemente in second round of league play. Travis Niesen, Erik Engstrom, David Johnson, Mykel Valentine, Brad Campbell, Osvaldo Gudino, Greg Villanueva, and Joel Zamor lead. Up next: San Clemente @ MV on 1/22. 
13 San Gorgonio Record: 12-8, 2-2.  Lost last Friday to Colton (11-8, 3-1) in a San Andreas League game. Shawn Buckingham, Tykie Harris and Kevin Houston lead.  Up next: Cajon @ SG on 1/23.
14 Righetti Record: 12-8, 2-3.  Righetti beat Lompoc 76-52 in a Northern League game on Friday. Robert Osorio, Jeff Groce, and Bill Comeau lead Righetti. Up next: Arroyo Grande @ Righetti on 1/24.
15 Aliso Niguel Record: 12-9, 1-2.   Lost to Woodbridge on Friday.  Zach Zanoli is the leading scoring threat. Up next: @ Newport Harbor 1/24. 
16 Silverado Record: 12-8, 3-1.  Silverado beat Victor Valley on Friday in a Desert Sky League game 52-45. In contention for a league title with play of Julius Day, Virgil Wilkins and Justin White. Next up: @ Ridgecrest Burroughs on 1/23.
17 Colton Record: 11-8, 3-1.   Colton beat San Gorgonio on Friday in a San Andreas League game and looks to be in the driver's seat in league. Kevin Pinkney is a 6'-9" D-I prospect and leads along with Brian Sorenson. Up next: 1/26 hosting San Bernardino.
18 San Gabriel Record: 11-9, 2-2.   Lost to Alhambra on Friday night 63-59, but still in the hunt for Almont League title, although Alhambra leads at 15-5, 3-1.  Edwin Rosario playing well. Next up: hosting Mark Keppel 1/23.
19 Century Record: 11-9, 2-2. Beat Kennedy (12-8, 2-2) in an Empire League game on Friday. Chris Ferretti leads. Up next: 1/24 @ Cypress.
20T Irvine Record: 10-11, 1-2.  Started well, but stumbled.  Beat Laguna Hills by 5 on Friday.  David Cox and Massud Naderi have led. Next up: @Woodbridge on 1/24.  
20T Camarillo Record: 9-11, 0-3.  Have lost three straight, most recently to Channel Islands.  Time running out for Jared Jungwirth and Jimmy Alstot to turn it around. Next up: @ Dos Pueblos on 1/26.
