From Nissen Ventures. Saver's Basketball tracks your
basketball card collection. Save information in the database such as card number and
condition. Input player's personal information such as height and weight. Enter player
statistics specific to basketball such as assists and rebounds. The program is not highly
flexible. The user cannot customize field lengths and descriptions, sorting criteria, and
display options. But those needing only a very simple program may find it just the thing.

From ZDNET: Sportcheck-Basketball Edition
From Software Creations, Inc. The
Sportcheck-Basketball Edition provides a turnkey database solution for basketball card
collectors. The database contains data on more than 20,000 cards for all the major card
manufacturers, including Topps, SkyBox, Fleer, Bowman, Star NBA, Upper Deck, and Hoops.
Going back to 1948, the database lists the player's name and the card's current selling
value. Just fill in the card's condition next to its listing, and the program fills in the
current value. The program contains values for five different conditions, from good to
mint. The Sportcheck--Basketball Edition can also track values for complete collections,
and lets you create personal collections for unique cards that aren't listed in the
database. Updates to the database are released quarterly, and users receive three free
issues upon registration. System Requirements DOS 3.3 Purchase Information: Shareware:

From ZDNET: Ballcards
From BOB-KIT Software. Ballcards is a database program
designed to help collectors track cards. The predefined categories are baseball,
basketball, football, and hockey, but it's easy to create up to 36 more categories. You
enter information on each card, such as manufacturer, year, card number, purchase price,
sale price, and hi/lo price. Three comments fields per card are also available. Predefined
report structures allow you to create reports such as cards from a certain manufacturer,
of a certain player or a particular year, or many others. You can send reports to disk or
printer. Ballcards is a must for any card collector. Registration brings a 175,000-card
database. This version is a minor update. System Requirements 640K RAM and DOS 3.3

easy to use, but the online help file has not been included. There is one type of report
in the unregistered version. You receive more report styles when you register. You can add
and edit card sets, individual cards, card types, and the manufacturer, or you can browse
your collection. Registration brings several report types, the ability to query, record
tagging, and the ability to personalize your reports. System Requirements 486 processor
