Recap: Boys' Game Details For Games
Played Tuesday, Jan. 25--(Jan. 26, 2000)

We know we don't have all the game details, based on the scores we have, but we've managed to collect quite a few anyway, and on the theory that some is better than none, here's what we know happened from some of the games played  Tuesday, January 25, 2000 between and among Southern Section teams.

LA City Section Game Details

Magnet League

LACES 65, Foshay 62--Foshay jumped out to a 15 to 12 lead by the end of the first quarter. Prior to this game, Foshay had given LACES their only conference loss earlier this season in mid December. LACES roared back in the second on a 10-2.  LACES then outscored Foshay 22-15 in the third quarter, but Foshay rallied back to tie the game with 6 seconds to go at 62-62. Without calling time out LACES senior guard Jason Lee single-handedly broke the Foshay press to get off a desperation three point shot from halfcourt that hit nothing but the bottom of the net. It was a great game that knocked Foshay out of the three way tie for first on top of the Magnet League with LACES and Bravo Medical Magnet. Foshay is now 3 -2 in league, while LACES improves to 4- 1, 12-6 overall and remains tied with Bravo.  LACES and Bravo will play this Thursday at Bravo @ 4 pm. LACES' Jason Lee (6'-3" Sr. G) finshed with 20 points, 8 rebounds, 6 steals, and 6 assits. Keion Millsaps (6'-4" Jr. G/F) added 15 points, 12 rebounds, 4 blocks, and two thunderous dunks that silenced the Foshay fans.

Carter made 6 of 8 free throws in the game. The Lightning led 40-33 with 2:05 left in the third quarter when AVC signaled for a time out.
