division 5 polls

Below is the latest CIF Southern Section's official top 10 poll for Division V. Just some slight movements in these polls. Both the No. 1 spots remain unchanged in each half of the division: Campbell Hall (V-AA) and Price (V-A) are still both atop the polls. Pacific Hills has moved up one slot in V-AA and Bell-Jeff has moved to No. 3. Calvary Chapel Downey remains at 4, Montclair Prep at No. 5, St. Anthony at No. 6, and Buckley has moved to No. 7, up two spots from No. 9. Santa Clara remains at No. 8, and Chadwick is now at No. 9. New to the V-AA poll this week is Western Christian, which beat Ontario Christian in a game last week, bumping them out of the No. 10 spot.

In V-A, the top four spots remain unchanged. After that, Laguna Blanca and Rolling Hills Prep have exchanged places, 5 and 7, while Stoneridge remains at No. 6.

The poll is compiled by the SCIBCA (Southern California Interscholastic Basketball Coaches Association). Basically each division is composed of a committee consisting of a number of coaches who review standings, strength of schedule, results and the like. Committee members submit their respective votes and these are compiled and tabulated and the result is what you see below. Polls will be issued weekly by the CIF Southern Section office. This should also be posted up on the Southern Section website either this evening or by tomorrow at the latest.
