We just got word about the LA City Section Championship Brackets for the Boys' and Girls' tournaments. This year, as in years past, there will be two separate tournaments, the "City Championship" featuring the top 16 teams in the City (this was formerly the 4A City Championships) and the "Invitational Championship", featuring the next 16 teams (this was formerly called the3A City Championship). Here are the first round matchups for the Boys. Note that all the first round games are scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. this coming Friday, February 18, but due to several known conflicts with the girls games, the times may be changed. We'll have more on these brackets in the coming days. For now here are the first round matchups;

Again, we'll have more on these matchups throughout the week. The first round, as noted above, is scheduled for this Friday. The Quarter-Finals will be the following Wednesday, February 23 at the higher seeded team's home site, which will be followed by the Semifinals on Friday, February 25. The City Finals, in the City Championship are scheduled for March 3 at the Great Western Forum (Boys at 8:00 p.m. and the Girls at 6:00 p.m.); in the Invitational Division, the Finals will be on Saturday, March 4, with the Girls at 1:00 p.m. and the Boys at 3:00 p.m. Stay tuned for more information. . .

Admission Prices at Finals for the City Championships will be $6.00 for Student (Pre-Sale); General Admission $9, Reserved Seating $10, and Children (under 12) $3. For the Invitational Championships the prices will be slightly lower (mostly likely a reflection of the cost of renting the arena, security, etc.): Student Pre-Sale $5, General Admission $7, and Children (under 12) $3.
