Division III-AA bracket updated 02/24/00

Since Division III-AA and III-A were combined into a single bracket this year, it's been more competitive, but the round still ends earlier than some of the other brackets. Well, not exactly earlier, but the next round to be played Friday is the semifinals, and this is at least one round earlier than some of the larger brackets. In any event, because of the combining of divisions, all four of the teams still left standing, Bishop Montgomery, Morningside, Corona del Mar and Compton Centennial can really have nothing bad happen to them: If a team loses, they're not eliminated from competition but instead get to sit out the finals, and then be resurrected for the State Southern Regional tournament which will begin the week following the CIF Southern Section Finals on March 3 at LMU. In any event, here's the bracket, in case you really need to look at it. The alternate sites had not yet been selected by the time we got the bracket late on Wednesday night, and hopefully that information will be released soon.
