Girls' All-CIF Announcements:
The Official Version--(Mar. 29, 2000)
We just received the official press release from the CIF along with the final composite All-CIF Southern Section Basketball selections. We've already posted up the selections, division by division, at least all of the ones which which were published yesterday in the Long Beach Press-Telegram (which was not complete, at least it didn't include the girls' Division V-A selections), so we're reposting them all in one place. CERRITOS --- All-CIF Southern Section Teams for girls and boys basketball were announced today by the Southern California Interscholastic Basketball Coaches Association (SCIBCA).

We would post the rest of the press release which was sent out, but it seems that the CIF's release, at least for the girls, inadvertently contained last year's narrative and since the tables below are pretty much self-explanatory, you can see for yourselves who the players of the year are this season. And thankfully, this release also includes the selections for Division V-A, which were missing from yesterday's Press-Telegram release. Statistically speaking, by our count there were 80 seniors, 43 juniors, 33 sophs, and 7 freshmen selected. Here's the official listing:
