All-Star Game Tonight--(Mar. 24, 2000)

A couple of days ago, the newly revamped Pasadena Star News and San Gabriel Valley Tribune announced yet another of the many high school All-Star games that will be played in the next few weeks. This one is the 3rd Annual San Gabriel Valley Hall of Fame Basketball Game. While full rosters weren't released or published, the event will feature 58 players from 40 schools and 13 League MVP's and four of the top 20 girls' scorers in the State of California.

There will be two All-Star contests, a girls game at 6:00 p.m. and a boys' game at 8:00 p.m. tonight at Muir High School in Pasadena. Muir is located at 1905 North Lincoln in Pasadena. Click on the link for a map and driving directions.

The games are sponsored by the National Football Foundation. According to a story in the Star News, the games are the only all-star games held in the San Gabriel Valley. Proceeds from the games will go to benefit the National Football Foundation's Scholar-Athlete program. The program grants scholarships to deserving graduating seniors.
