Pasadena-SGV "Hall of
Fame" Sorta,
Kinda Results--(Mar. 27, 2000)
Last Friday, we posted an announcment about the Pasadena-San Gabriel Valley "Hall of Fame Game" and we noted that the complete rosters were not available. Well we finally found out who played and who actually did what. . . . well, sort of. . . We don't mean which "team" won, since that doesn't really matter. At these "All-Star" senior events, no one really pays attention to which team wins or loses. . . it's mostly about style-points, slam dunks, and high-flying jams. And we understand that there were plenty on Friday night at Muir High as the "West" All-Stars took on the "East" All-Stars. Unfortunately, we couldn't be there, so we can't really tell you what took place. We do know that the gym was packed to the rafters and they had to turn people away, but beyond that, about all we know is the final rosters for the game and who scored how many points.
To the extent it really matters, the "West" beat the "East" 103-91. As far as some of the players listed who apparently didn't score, we just don't know if they didn't play or whether they really didn't score. There were a couple of late additions to the rosters, so it's possible that those listed with no points didn't make the game.
East Team: Coach Randy Thatcher, Charter Oak |
West Team: Coach: Doug Schmidt, Monrovia |
