Pump Easter Tourney: Belmont
Shore To Play FOH--(Apr. 6, 2000)

This is some sort of a watershed. . . a breakthrough. . . we can't recall the last time that a Dinos Trigonis-coached Belmont Shore team played at one of the Double Pump tournaments, but yesterday we were informed that Belmont Shore would indeed be participating this weekend, and they've got an impressive roster, featuring a good mix of seniors, juniors and sophs.  We understand that Belmont Shore will be plugged into the schedule in place of QBL Rising Stars, so wherever you see QBL/Rising Stars, just think "Belmont Shore" instead.

Here's the roster:

AJ Diggs   (5'-9" Sr. PG)   Long Beach Poly
Brian Baker   (6'-0" Jr. PG)   Mater Dei
Scottie Stern   (6'-4" Sr. SG/SF)    LA Fairfax
Ruben Sanchez   (6'-0" Jr. PG)   Sherman Oaks Notre Dame
Patrick Haddan   (6'-1" So. PG)   Mater Dei
Dijon Thompson   (6'-6" Jr. PG/SG/SF)    Redondo Union
Evan Burns   (6'-7" So. PF)   LA Fairfax
Cody Pearson   (6'-4" Jr. SF)   Sherman Oaks Notre Dame
Anthony Coleman   (6'-9" Sr. PF/C)    Compton Centennial
Craig Smith   (6'-6" Jr. PF)   LA Fairfax
Jamaal Walls   (6'-6" So. PF)   LA Crenshaw
Ellis Myles   (6'-7" Sr. PF)   Compton Centennial

The team will be coached by Dinos Trigonis, Etop Udo-Ema, Bob Burns and Montey Lopez.  This should be an interesting group, and the first game will see them matched on Friday at 3:00 p.m. agaisnt Friends of Hoop (WA) Seniors, a team which will feature some of the top unsigned seniors from Washington. Here's the roster for FOH Srs.

AJ Brooks   (6'-1" Sr. G)   Franklin
Darin Pattison   (6'-0" Sr. PG)   Bellermine Prep
Josh McCleod   (6'-0" Sr. G) Kentwood
Jerrell Everson   (6'-2" Sr. G)   Bethel
Kevin Hill   (6'-4" Sr. F)   Bethel
Kyle Kingshot   (6'-6" Sr. F)   Mt. Vernon
Jordan Lee   (6'-2" Sr. PG/G)    Life Christian Academy
Matt Enloe   (6'-6" Sr. F)   Gig Harbor
Shea Robinson   (5'-11" Sr. PG)    Seattle Prep
David Hudson   (6'-0" Sr. G)   Rainier Beach
Ben Devoe   (6'-10" Sr. C)   Olympia

The game will be on court 4 at Cal State Dominguez Hills, and the winner will end up playing on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. against the winner of the Crew v. BWBA Orange game (that game will be played at 7:00 p.m. on Friday night); the loser will play on Saturday at 9:45 a.m. against the loser of the Crew v. BWBA Orange game.

See you there.
