3 More Youth Hoops Camps: Dana

Mt. Sac & Campbell Hall--(May 25, 2000)
We've been receiving a lot of e-mail from people wanting to know about camps, and from camp operators and coaches who have asked us to spread the word about their upcoming summer camps. We've posted some info about some of these camps in our regular Camps directory, but these are a few others that are either new, or which have updated information.
What: Dana Pump Day Camps
When: July 31-August 4, @ Birmingham HS, Van Nuys

Who: Boys and Girls Ages 7-16.
This camp is now in it's 18th year, and as always is one of the best experiences for young players who want to learn the fundamentals. Campers will be given individualized and group instruction, play in games, and have visits from college and pro players as well as participate in group and individual clinics, special shooting contests, an daily games. All campers will receive a free camp picture, a camp t-shirt, a written player evaluation, and participate in an awards ceremony the last day of the camp. The camp also offers reduced family rates and discounts for multiple weeks of attendance. What: Campbell Hall-Brian Haloossim Youth Basketball Camps
When: 4 Sessions: June 19-23, July 10-14, July 17-21, July 31-August 4
Where: Campbell Hall School
North Hollywood, CA
Who: 2nd through 8th grades
Brian Haloossim is the varsity boys coach at Campbell Hall, which this year made it to the Southern Section Division V-AA semifinals, and he's an excellent teacher of fundamentals. The camps are $200/session and are for kids entering the 2nd and 8th grades. Camp sessions will run from 9:00am-2:00pm. daily and the camp will employ current and former college and high school coaches and players. This is a camp which will focus on fun and fundamentals for younger players. Those interested can reach Coach Haloossim at Campbell Hall at 818 505-5340. The camp has grown over the years and has become one of the better camps in the San Fernando Valley region.
What: Mt. SAC Triple Threat Basketball Camp
When: June 23-25, 9:00 a.m - 2:00 p.m.
Who: Boys & Girls 6-14 years old
Where: Mt. San Antonio College
Walnut, CA
Mt. SAC Triple Threat Basketball camp which will be held June 23rd-25th from 9am to 2pm. The camp is open to boys and girls ages 6-14 years old and will be run by Michael Swanegan (Head Coach) and Daryl Vincent (Assistant coach). The Triple Threat Camp will provide an opportunity for campers to spend 20 minutes at each of eight different technique stations a day. All stations will have at least two instructors that will be teaching important basketball fundamentals. The afternoons will consist of full-court team play. Campers will receive a free t-shirt, camp photo and have an opportunity to earn one of several awards. Daily drills will include: passing, free throws, dribbling, lay-ups, defense, pick & roll, rebounding and more. The fee is $95.00 per camper and $75.00 each for 2 or more members of the same family.
