Campbell Hall's Jesse Foster
To LA Valley College--(May 24, 2000)
We got a press release yesterday afternoon from LA Valley College's Dale Beck concerning Jesse Foster (6'-8" Sr. SF) who will graduate from Campbell Hall in a few weeks. Here's the release:
JESSE FOSTER COMMITS TO MONARCHS
VALLEY GLEN—The defending Western State Conference champions have received a commitment from All-CIF performer Jesse Foster. The new recruit is a product of Campbell Hall High School of North Hollywood.
The highly regarded Foster (6-8) is expected to make an immediate impact as the Monarchs return only one starter from last season’s championship squad. Forward Michael Crawford (6-6, 225), an All-State tournament selection, played a major role in leading the Monarchs to the state final-four in March, capping off a highly successful 27-9 season.
For those who may have forgotten, Valley College also sent five players to four year schools following their championship season: All-State selection and WSC MVP Felix Lang will join two-time All-Conference Jerrohn Jordan at Portland State University of the Big Sky Conference, while Issac Williamson, another All-Conference performer and 6-9 postman Wayne Huff have signed with Fort Hays State University in Kansas. Co-captain and two-year starting point guard Joe Bakhoum will move to Oklahoma Panhandle State University to continue his career.
