Hollister As New Boys' Coach--(May 4, 2000)
Yesterday's Long Beach Press Telegram reported that Long Beach Wilson HS has officially announced the selection of their new boys' basketball coach, replacing Quentin Brown who retired at the end of the season from coaching. The PT announced that Ted Hollister has been selected for the job. Hollister last coached for the past three seasons at La Sierra High School in Riverside, where he coached the Eagles to a 41-36 overall. He was named Riverside County Coach of the Year in 1997-98 and Mountain View League Coach of the Year in 1997-98 and 1999-2000. Hollister holds a Master's degree from Chapman College and is a graduate of Long Beach State where he did his undergrad work. In addition to coaching, he will teach Spanish.
