Cuesta JUCO Point Guard Signs
With D-II Hawaii Pacific--(May 11, 2000)

O.J. Strother (6'-0" So. PG) from Cuesta JC in San Luis Obispo has reportedly signed an LOI with Division II Independent Hawaii Pacific University. For those who don't know much about HPU, the University's motto is, "Holomua Me Ka Oiaio," which means "Look Forward with Truth."   Er, um, ok.  The school has been competing in athletics for only 22 years, and while they are currently D-II, they have plans to take the school to the Division I level in the "near future." The Sea Warriors compete in the PacWest Conference, founded in 1981, which currently has 16 schools in eight states and one Canadian province.
