Fountain Valley Coach Mike
Warrington Resigns--(May 8, 2000)

Saturday's Orange County Register reported that Mike Warrington, the head boys' basketball coach at Fountain Valley resigned last Friday. Warrington told the Register that he would "pursue junior college basketball coaching opportunities."  He coached at Fountain Valley for five season, compiling a 64-66 won-loss record, and advancing to the CIF Southern Section playoffs the past three years.

Warrington told the Register, "My goal has always been to coach at the college level." Warrington was an assistant coach at Porterville Junior College before taking the Fountain Valley job. Besides looking for a JUCO job, Warrington told the Register that he would continue to teach business at Fountain Valley.
