14th Annual West Coast Basketball
Camp At Chapman College--(May 18, 2000)

Enlarging our ever-growing list of camps for this summer, including the camps which also focus on some of the younger players' needs, we're happy to pass along some information about the 14th Annual West Coast Basketball Camp.[Note, this camp should not be confused with the Double Pump West Coast All Star Camp, which will run from July 7-10, and July 11-14].   The West Coast Basketball Camp has been run by Tom Maier (formerly at Chadwick) for the previous 13 years and it's always successful and a great teaching camp for young players who want to learn the fundamentals.  This year, it will run two sessions, from July 9-14 for resident campers, and from July 10-14 for day campers (9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. each day).   This is a camp designed for players ages 7-16, and will feature teaching, fundamentals and guest speakers, including Dave Hopla, coach Michael Cooper and one of the LA Sparks, as well as trips to Knott's Berry Farm (this will only be for the resident campers).

The cost is $340 for resident overnight campers, and $160 for the day camp sessions. Each camper receives a t-shirt, an evaluation of skills, a camp color photo, a certificate of participation and a basketball.  For additinoal information and a brochure, call Tom Maier at (310) 547-0667..
