crespi pool results day two

The Crespi Summer Classic, a 16 team tournament at Crespi HS in Encino, was in its second day of play today and we saw a couple of games toward the end of the day, including a great game between Grant and Valencia, which ended in a last second shot off a steal at the buzzer to put Valencia at 2-0 in the tournament, and pretty much in the driver's seat in Pool B. Mike Charleston (6'-5" Sr. PF) of Grant played great, as did Lewis Petway (6'-5" Sr. F/C) from Valencia.

While we were there, we also managed to get the pool assignments and the remaining schedules for the tournament. Pool play will continue through Friday night and then on Saturday, teams will participate in one additional game, with a possibility of two games for the top four teams, which will immediately jump into the semifinals at 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 1. The Third Place game will take place at 6:30 p.m., while the Championship will take place at 7:30 p.m. Saturday night.
