6th Annual Don Lugo "Igloo
Classic" Summer
Tournament This Weekend--(June 14, 2000)
You don't need to drive all the way to Cathedral City, Palm Springs or other parts of the desert to get good air conditioning. . . Heck, it'll be really cold over at Don Lugo High School in Chino, at the "Cow Palace" where you can catch the 6th Annual "Igloo Classic" boys' varsity basketball tournamnent. The tournament will run for only two days instead of the usual three, Friday June 16 and Saturday June 17, and thus you'll all get to spend Father's Day (remember that?) somewhere besides a gym. . . that is unless you're going to be at one of the other tourneys like the LA Watts Summer Games which also runs on Sunday.
Coach Steve Hebert, Don Lugo's head coach sent us the pools together with the first round schedule, and he also promises to send results over the weekend, so if you can't make it out there, at least you can still find out the scores. This year's tournament consists of two four team pools:
ICELAND | ANTARCTICA |
Don Lugo | Glendora |
Northview | Chino |
Diamond Bar | Damien |
Rancho Cucamonga | Fontana |
Here's the first round schedule for Friday, June 16, 2000
