The 2000 LA Watts Summer Games will begin next weekend at various gym sites around Los Angeles. Sponsored by the LA Junior Chamber of Commerce, the basketball tournament portion of the games (there are many other sports as well, including track & field, baseball, softball, volleyball, etc), is run by a dedicated group of volunteers, who deserve some special thanks (we'll do that later), who work long and hard to insure a quality tournament experience for those participating. And this year, the tournament will feature more than 128 boys and girls teams, more than 1200 players, at 16 different venues in a new, double-elimination tournament format.
Each bracket can be accessed by clicking on the name of the site below. We've listed all the teams participating in each bracket, for easy reference. You can also click on a site address to get a Go.com map, which can be configured to give you personalized driving directions to the site.

There were a lot of people who helped put the brackets together again this year, and in addition to the countless volunteers who will provide services to each site (the people who really get things done, like the refs, scorekeepers, and gym staff personnel, not to mention the players), there were a number of people who helped with the planning, seeding and bracketing. While those mentioned below have helped to greater or (in our case) lesser degrees, a real thanks goes to Neal Davenport, who undertook the major job of constructing and implementing the bracketing after the following folks got together to act as the LAWSG Seeding Committee:
