Long Beach State Offers Pearson,
May Also
Get Dominguez' Johnson--(June 12, 2000)
Since this past weekend was way too busy for us to be everywhere, we're borrowing a bit of news we first learned from Dinos Trigonis, who is now writing a sort of semi-irregular column for Fullcourt Press he calls "Trigonis' Tidbits". According to Dinos, Cody Pearson (6'-4" Sr. SG/SF) from Sherman Oaks Notre Dame, played with his team this weekend at the Long Beach State "team camp" at the Pyramid, which also featured Dominguez, Long Beach Milikan and several other teams, apparently impressed 49'er head coach Wayne Morgan so much that, says Dinos, "Morgan offered Pearson a scholarship and told him he would be a 49'er recruiting priority this summer."
Trigonis also notes that Long Beach State is looking solid with Dominguez graduating senior and sharp-shooter Larry Johnson (6'-5" Sr. SG/PG) who has recently qualified, and it looks like he's headed to the Beach for next season.
