Eric Osmundson Commits To
Utah's Rick Majerus--(Aug. 27, 2000)

Eric Osmundson (6'-3" Sr. SG) from San Diego St. Augustine, committed tonight to the University of Utah according to his club coach, Ollie Goulston, who e-mailed us with the news tonight. Osmundson was not highly recruited prior to this summer, but in July he attended Nike Camp, and also played well at the Rim Rattler All*West Camp, attracting attention from schools such as St. Joseph's, San Diego State, USD, Santa Clara, Yale and Utah. Osmundson has a 3.8 GPA and reportedly scored 1100 on the SAT. He was selected Second Team, All League this past season in the San Diego CIF's Western League, averaging about 15 ppg for St. Augustine. Osmundson played largely in the shadows last season of his more well known teammate, Floyd North, who has yet to commit.
