Ocean View Tournament Of
Champions Set For Dec. 4-9--(Oct. 29, 2000)

We had a chance to speak with Ocean View head coach Jim Harris last week and in addition to getting some of the details about this year's Ocean View team (preview coming shortly), we also found out a bit about this year's Tournament of Champions, always a quality tournament, featuring some of the top teams in the Southern Section and the LA City Section.

The tournament will be held from December 4-9, 2000 at Ocean View HS. Teams participating so far are:

Mater Dei
Santa Barbara
Ontario
Compton
Gardena Serra
Redondo Union
LA Fremont
Pasadena
Morningside
Cajon
Perris
Compton Centennial

Yes, that's 13 teams, and, yes that will make for some strange bracketing (unless three more teams decide to enter), but that will also make it easier to schedule all of the games this year at Ocean View rather than having to resort to a different venue for some of the consolation round games. In any event, when the brackets are prepared, we hope to have them as well.
