Men's Basketball Signs Fox to National Letter-of-Intent
11.15.2000

TUCSON, Ariz. - University of Arizona men's basketball coach Lute Olson announced Wednesday that Isaiah Fox has signed a National Letter-of-Intent to attend the school and play basketball. He will report to the school in the Fall of 2001 with four other prep stars who also signed with the Wildcats in the November early signing period.

Fox, a 6-foot-9, 255-pound, center from Santa Monica, Calif., averaged 18 points and 11 rebounds per game last season at Crossroads High School. He was an all-state and all-California Interscholastic Federation pick last season. Fox is rated as the No. 89 recruit in the nation and the No. 16 center by Fast Break Recruiting Service. His father, Nils, was an Arizona football letterman in 1983 and 1984, where he was a starter on the offensive line.

"We've been following Isaiah since his sophomore year in high school," said Olson. "We believe that he has excellent long-term potential. He has a big body, great hands and a tremendous work ethic. We feel very fortunate to have him in our program."
