Chris Alexander HS Signs
With Cal State Fullerton--(Nov. 16, 2000)

TITANS.gif (5232 bytes)We just received an e-mail from Mike Lynch, the head coach at LA's Price HS, the defending CIF State Division V Champions.  Coach Lynch announced that Chris Alexander (6'-4" Sr. G) signed a National Letter of Intent with Cal State Fullerton yesterday.

We then spoke with Chris at his home tonight and he told us that indeed he had signed the NLI yesterday, and was really excited about the prospect of playing for Coach Donny Daniels at Fullerton.  "Coach Daniels is great and I really like everything that Fullerton has to offer," Chris told us.  "It's far enough away from home for me that it will seem like 'going away' to school, but I'll still get the chance to play in front of my friends and family, and be close enough to home that I can visit whenever I want to."

Chris is a very athletic combo guard, with quick hands, excellent footwork and ability to run the floor who jumps out of the gym, and while he didn't attract a lot of attention nationally or indeed many other places up and down the West Coast, he could turn out to be the steal of the early signing season for Fullerton.

Fullerton has not yet released a statement confirming the signing, but one should be forthcoming tomorrow.

Chris also had a few things to say about the Price HS team this year, and we'll be featuring them in a preview soon. "We'll be in pretty good shape to make another run at the State title," Chris said. "We've got a couple of really good new sophomores on the team, and a couple of new juniors too, so we're not down at all from last season."

Congratulations to Chris Alexander and Cal State Fullerton on a great signing.
