City Of Palms: Clovis West
Tournament Game Recaps--(Dec. 23, 2000)
Not everyone was in Las Vegas, or Long Beach at the Rim Rattler Holiday Invitational, or even in Portland or Hawaii. . . And with at least 9 or 10 nationally ranked teams playing at the City of Palms Classic in Ft. Meyer's, Florida, not everyone is going to come out of a tournament like this unscathed, and that's certainly true of the Hustlin' Eagles from Clovis West (Fresno), who ended their tournament run a bit earlier than they had hoped, i.e., last night in the consolation bracket.
The Eagles played well, in fact they almost won last night, losing to RJ Reynolds in a 5th place semifinal game by a single point, 61-60. The "official" website of the City of Palms Classic has all of the stats and results from the Clovis West games, and we won't post them all here, but we'll just provide this handy chart, along with links to each of the teams they've played. . . .click on the name of the team to get the "official" tournament site description of the opponent, and likewise, click on the score, and you'll be taken to the official box score.
