DIVISION IV-AA
Crespi 54, Valley Christian 49--Andrew Moore had 19 points and Charlie Shiebler and Kingsley Anyanwu each added 15 points for the Celts of Encino (21-6) in a Division IV-AA win at Valley Christian (18-11).
Oak Park 46, Orange Lutheran 44-- Oak Park's Matt Heim had 16 points to lead the Eagles to an upset victory over fourth-seeded Orange Lutheran in the second round of the Division IV-AA playoffs at Oak Park. The Eagles never led until the 5:08 mark of the fourth quarter when Jeramie Franks' fast break layup capped a 16-2 run as Oak Park clawed their way back from a 10-point deficit. Orange Lutheran had three chances in the final 14 seconds, but came up empty as Eric Testan came up with a defensive rebound to seal the victory. Oak Park advances to Friday's semifinals, improving to 20-8 on the season while the Lancers finished the season at 13-12. The visiting Lancers led by five going into the fourth quarter. Darrell Jenkins missed a three-pointer with four seconds left and Matt Hein missed the put-back attempt, the ball rolling off the rim, for visiting Orange Lutheran (13-12). Jenkins had 14 points and Marc Troyer had 12 for the Lancers. Orange Lutheran (44) — Darrell Jenkins 14, Mark Troyer 14, Goedl 6, Heim 4, Taylor 4, Bye 2. St. Paul 64, St. Bonaventure 46-- Playing without leading scorer Chris Saunders, St. Bonaventure (18-7) ended its season with a quarterfinal defeat on the road. Wade DeSmidt registered 12 points, 10 rebounds and nine blocks for St. Bonaventure. Ryan Dolinar chipped in 11 St. Bonaventure (46) — Hertel 3, Araiza 2, Dolinar 11, Tarin 8, DeSmidt 12, Bullock 3, Lewis 7. St Paul (64) — Serna 20, Cepaiga 2, Gonzalez 12, Hollawa 16, Walker 6, Cogigas 4, Gogorian 4. St. B--9 6 9 22--46; St.Paul--21 12 16 15--64; 3-Point goals — St. Bonaventure 2 (Dolinar 1, Lewis 1). Northwood 81, L.A. Cathedral 71--Drew Terry scored 10 of his game-high 30 points in the fourth quarter as host Northwood (21-7) pulled away for the victory. Adam Roggero scored 16 points and Scott Sanchez 13 for the Timberwolves. Ryan Ramos led Cathedral with 22 points.
