Boys Division IV-A Bracket:
First Round Pairings--(Feb 12, 2001)

We thought IV-AA was the smallest. We were wrong. It's not. IV-A is the smallest, with an 8 team bracket, and two wild card games. So, if you're not a wild card, and you win one game, you're in the semifinals. Whee. Hand the trophies and State Tournament entry passes to St. Monicas and Crossroads. . . Seriously, while no one ever knows how many teams are going to qualify in a given division, this one is a division which, like III, should be combined with IV-AA to create a single division IV.

The Wild Card round will take place on Wednesday, February 14, 2001, with all games @ 7:30 p.m.

A. Maranatha (Olympic At Large) @ St. Bernard (Del Rey At Large)
B. Loma Linda Academy (Christian At Large) @ LA Baptist (Alpha At Large)

First Round February 16			Semifinals February 23	Final round Mar. 3 The Pond
Milken	@	Crossroads
Winner Wild Card A	@	Providence
Silver Valley	@	St. Monicas
Winner Wild Card B	@	Calvary Chapel Santa Ana

All games with the exception of the final round will start at 7:30 p.m. unless another time is mutually agreed upon and clearance is received from the CIF-SS Office. Public coin flips will be held in the lobby of the CIF-SS Office at 9:00 a.m. ithe day following each playoff game [these coin flips will determine subsquent sites after the first round, i.e., which school will be the host]. Coin flips will be available after 9:30 a.m. and we'll try to keep everyone posted with them here.
