Maranatha's David Newkirk Signs
With Biola University--(Mar. 8, 2001)

We actually meant to report this last week, but with all the playoff news and other club and tournament events starting up, we couldn't find the time.   But better late than never, right? 

David Newkirk, a 6'-5" Sr. SF from Maranatha High School has signed with Biola University. David led Maranatha this season in scoring with 23 ppg and in rebounding with 12 rpg..  He actually signed at Biola on a week ago Wednesday, and will leave Maranatha as it's all-time leading scorer (1658 points) and it's all-time leading rebounder. David will continue to work out with Rockfish at the Rockfish Spring League, so if you're there, and haven't seen him yet, be sure to take a look.
