adidas Mats' Madness Team
Roster: Pump N Run--(May 26, 2001)
|
What: 5th Annual adidas Mats' Madness Tournament Where: Fresno, CA When: May 26-28, 2001 Who: 64 Top Travel Teams |
Pump N Run is Dana Pump's team, and is usually considered to be the No. 1 team among the Pump teams. Dana typically brings in talent from all over the country, but MIA for this tournament are several regulars who will play with the team at the adidas Big Time and the Best of Summer and through next fall. Missing are Nik Caner-Medley, who will be staying in Maine for the holiday weekend; likewise, Brad Buckman will stay home in Texas, and CJ Watson will stay in Las Vegas (school projects and prepping for finals). Brandon Worthy also was unable to make the trip, although we note that he continues to be listed on the Next Level roster, and it's possible that he will be with that squad, but will continue to play with Pump in Vegas and through the rest of the summer. But the core of the California guys on the team will be there and they've also found some new guys who we haven't seen yet including someone even taller than David Padgett (who is probably one of the best big men at the tournament). . .W e'll find out more about the three new guys on Saturday morning when the team has a shoot-around and practice at Fresno State (immediately following a workout at Fresno State with DeShawn Stevenson of the Utah Jazz and several other local Fresno State players like Tito Maddox, etc).
