Travel Team Roster Index Posted:
Some Accurate, Some Close--(May 20, 2001)

We've spent considerable time over the past few days entering some of the travel team rosters we've received from this spring. . . we're not done by a long shot, and we have at least 45 or so more from the Spiece Tournament which we'll be inputting shortly, but our index is getting pretty comprehensive.  So far we've got rosters for many of the SoCal-based travel teams, most of the NorCal teams (with some notable exceptions) and several from Washington, Oregon, Utah, Texas, Michigan, and Arizona.   We'll have many more in the next few months too.

You can always reach the index by clicking on the top link on the navigation bar entitled '01 Travel Teams.

We also want to say a word about the rosters themselves:   This is travel ball.  Players come and go, they switch rosters, move from team to team, or up and down within a team's own organization depending on various factors, some having nothing to do with the level a player can compete at, but perhaps involving travel considerations, SAT dates, illness and injury.  And even though these rosters were furnished by the travel team coaches in most instances, just because someone lists a player on a roster doesn't mean that all the players actually showed up. . . sometimes even the best of coaches can lose out to another guy who recruits a kid, or engage in a bit of wishful thinking from time to time.

Anyway, like much of the rest of what we do here on SoCalHoops, if you know of a roster that we've missed, or a player who has been added, or dropped or just missed from a roster, let us know and we'll put it up, time permitting.
