LA Watts Summer Games Girls
Quarterfinal Schedules--(June 4, 2001)
As we've said, the LA Watts Summer Games folks have made our job really easy this year. . . no more updating our own brackets, or painstakingly hand-drawing (or coding) all of those brackets, because this time they've actually put together some really nice looking brackets themselves. . . .You can find all the info about the LAWSG at the official LA Junior Chamber of Commerce website, which has not only the boys and girls basketball brackets, but also some really great info on all the other sports. . . They have the complete results posted, in both text and graphic form, and we've borrowed their brackets as well and posted them here.
As we noted, 8 teams advanced, one from each of the 8 separate sites where the girls' games were played this past Saturday and Sunday, and the winners from each site will face off this Saturday and Sunday in four quarterfinal games and two semifinals at Jefferson HS, with the Championship game on Sunday at LA Southwest College.
