Previously Unreported Signings: Class Of
2001 @ U.C. Davis--(July 1, 2001)

We frankly can't remember whether we reported these signings, which is either a sign of advancing senility, or just laziness on our part, but we thought we'd mention them before they get too old.  And since these are three local guys from SoCal, who have all chosen to attend the same university next year, we thought it would be a nice way of leaving the class of 2001 behind as we all begin focusing on the classes of 2002, 2003 and beyond with the imminent start of the July recruiting season.  So, before we move on, here's the news we got from the UC Davis website concerning three players who readers of SoCalHoops have been familiar with for the past four years:  Jason Greenlea, Jesse Pruitt and Ryan Moore.  Here's the official press release of their signing with D-II UC Davis:

JASON GREENLEE (6-3, Guard, Glendora, CA/San Dimas HS)
Will graduate this June... Four-year letterwinner... Second all-time leading scorer at San Dimas... As a senior, helped lead team to 1999 CIF-Southern Section Division III-AA Championship... McDonald's All-America nominee... Cal-Hi Sports Division III All-State... First-team All-CIF... MVP of Valle Vista League... First-team All-Valle Vista League... San Dimas HS MVP... MVP of San Dimas Tournament... Several all-tournament awards... First-team by Inland Valley Times and Daily Bulletin... Los Angeles Times All-San Gabriel Valley Area Team... Second-team All-CIF Division III-AA selection as a junior... Four-time Scholastic All-CIF selection... San Dimas Scholar-Athlete Award... Born in Mission Viejo, Calif.

RYAN MOORE (6-5, Wing, Brea, CA/Brea-Olinda HS)
Will graduate this June... Three-year letterwinner... Helped lead Brea-Olinda to three Orange League Championships... All-Orange League as a junior and league MVP as a senior... All-Orange County by Los Angeles Times... Participant in Orange County All-Star game... Averaged 20 ppg, 8 rpg and 5 apg as senior, shooting 53% from the field and 84% from the line... Brea-Olinda was section runner-up his junior year... Team was 69-14 during his three seasons... Scholar-athlete award... CSF member... Will graduate with honors... Member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes... Born in Fullerton, Calif.

JESSE PRUITT (6-2, Guard, Pomona, CA/Upland HS)
Will graduate in June... Earned three varsity letters in basketball... Team won Baseline League championship, CIF-Southern Section championship and advanced to quarterfinal round of state tournament... Named All-Baseline League first team... San Bernardino County All-Star... McDonald's All-America nominee... Born in Pasadena, Calif.
