fullcourt press fall showcase soph rosters

This game started at 11:30 a.m. this morning at Long Beach Jordan HS, and like the freshman game before it, unfortunately we were not able to be there due to some personal commitments we had to attend to. But from all the folks we spoke with after we arrived during the first juniors game later in the day, the Frosh and Soph games were the best ones of the day because the players haven't yet learned about showboating, and they played hard the whole game. In any event, we heard some really good things about some of these guys, and it looks like there's a lot of rising young talent that will be filling it up for some of the local high schools this coming season.

Here is the list of team rosters from the Top 24 Sophomore game. No D-I coaches were present, but there were plenty of fans, more than a few scout types (Clark Francis of HoopScoop, Jerry Freitas from The Caliornia Cage Report, Dave Nahabedian from Networkx, Greg Hicks and Tracy Pierson from PrepWestHoops, Dave Keefer from CaliforniaPreps.com, Mark Mayemura from Recruiting-USA, Frank Burlison and Louis Johnson from FoxSports.com, and eventually even SoCalHoops showed up)....there were also quite a few D-II, III and NAIA coaches in the gym, who weren't prohibited by silly new NCAA rules from being there. We can't tell you that there weren't some additions to these rosters, but we know that the following players were invited, and played today.
