Rockfish 8th Grade Team
Tryouts Announced--(Sept. 5, 2001)

According to a message we received from Dave "Rockfish" Benezra, the Rockfish's previously announced 8th grade travel team tryout wil be held this Saturday, September 8, 2001 at Sylmar High School, in the northeast San Fernando Valley. The tryout will run from 9:45 a.m. until 12:00 noon. Rodney Robinson (who is also the father of Brandon Robinson, and an assistant coach at Chatsworth HS where Franklin Robinson plays--no relation) will conduct the tryouts for the Rockfish.

Players interested in participating on a Rockfish team should just show up at the appointed hour. If you have any questions, Dave Benezra and Mark Mayemura will be happy to answer any of your questions, and they can be reached at 818-783-2244 or you can e-mail them at larockfish@mindspring.com.

There will be one more tryout scheduled the following weekend, at a time and location to be determined, but players interested in making the team are urged to come to as many of the tryouts as possible.
