San Clemente Boys' Coach Resigns--(Oct. 2, 2001)

According to an article in today's LA Times (which, depending on your perspective now has either increased or decreased sports coverage) by sportswriter Ben Bolch,  San Clemente boys' basketball Coach Brad Davis has resigned.   According to the Times, Davis decided to make the move in order to spend more time with his family following his father's illness and because of increased teaching responsibilities.  Davis' father, who lives in Pasadena,  is reportedly recovering from several illnesses.  Over the last four seasons, San Clemente compiled a 62-44 record and reached the quarterfinals last season in Division I-AA.  The article did not mention whether any successor has been named by the school.
