CIF-SS Tournaments: An Early List
Of Local
JV-Level Events--(Oct. 18, 2001)
Each year we post a list of high school tournaments, and we miss a few here and there. But this year, the CIF Southern Section has released an early list of "sanctioned events" (which actually has a defined meaning under CIF Bylaws), and in this case, it means seasonal basketball tournaments. This year, the first official practice can take place on November 10; each team can play one scrimmage contest, which can occur on or after Nov. 19, and the first official game can be played on or after November 26, 2001, and that means for many, tournament play. We've taken the CIF's list and broken it down into three: Varsity tournaments, Junior Varsity tournaments, and a combined list for Frosh and Frosh-Soph tournaments. What follows is the list of JV Tournaments:
