Local Tournaments This Week
Starting Today & Tuesday--(Dec. 17, 2001)
There's more to life than just the "big-deal" national tournaments, and 99% of the teams around the country do not participate in these elite-level events. Instead they play local tournaments, featuring teams from around the tournament venue, and this week will see some very good local tournaments taking place. Thanks to the CIF-SS master schedule which we posted a while back (and which is accessible always on the navigation bar) and the new LA Times Prep section, we've got a completely up-to-date tournament schedule for Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura, Santa Barbara, and the Inland Empire (sorry, no schedules for Central California or San Diego, at least not full schedules). So here's what's happening starting today (Monday) and tomorrow (Tuesday) in first round action:
