More often we're seeing the advent of the "one-day showcase," an event where multiple teams play single-game contests. Not tournaments, these are primarily designed to showcase excellent matchups between teams, and provide a place where basketball junkies, scouts and college coaches can get more bang for their buck, by taking in more than just a single game in a single trip.
We just received an e-mail about this one, and it will feature some of the better teams in the Orange County area. Here are the matchups:
5:00 p.m. El Dorado vs Marina
6:30 p.m. Servite vs El Toro
8:00 p.m. Sonora vs Capo Valley
We don't have time to preview these teams and the matchups, but if you're in the area, it's certainly worth catching this one.
