Northview 75, San Gabriel 70 (2 OT) --James Glavin scored 34 points for Northview (2-3). The Vikings trailed by nine points with 2:20 remaining in the fourth period before they launched an impressive comeback to send the game into overtime. Jamaal Johnson added 14 points and seven rebounds for the Vikings, who will take on South El Monte this afternoon at 4:30.

Charter Oak 44, Gladstone 32 --Mike Harris scored 12 points for Charter Oaks (6-2). The Chargers bullied the Gladiators (0-3) throughout in a 44-32 victory that ran their record to 2-0 in the tournament. They need a win over Mountain View tonight to secure a championship appearance on Friday. Sharif Elkhaldy had two three-pointers and finished with 12 points for Charter Oaks. The Gladiators opened the tournament with a 44-24 loss to Mountain View and continued to struggle offensively with only 17 points through three quarters against Charter Oak. Marco Valencia, who finished with a team-high nine points for Gladstone, hit three consecutive three-pointers in the fourth quarter, but otherwise it was a poor shooting night. Brandon Winfield finished with eight points. Rendy Louhanapessy chipped in with five points for the Gladiators.
Mountain View 58, Bonita 47-- Victor Romero led the way for the Vikings with 21 points and was a perfect 12-of-12 from the free-throw line. Mountain View plays Thursday against Charter Oak.
Covina 67, Azusa 36 --Jino La Bomme scored 20 points for Covina (5-1).
Rosemead 56, Bell Gardens 50 --Albert Cardona scored 13 points for Rosemead (5-3). Rosemead will play tournament-host Azusa tonight at 7:45.

AB Miller 104, Moreno Valley 83 --Jacob Ramirez scored 25 points, Victor Mitchell added 23 and Emile Brown, Greg Pruitt and Jeremiah had 11 each for Miller (8-0). The unbeaten Rebels (8-0) received 22 points from Victor Michel in the Claremont Auto Center Classic.Senior 5-11 guard T.J. Smith had seven points and five steals.
Rancho Cucamonga 79, Rancho Verde 71 --Devion Ford scored 22 points and Mike Hamilton added 13 points and 11 rebounds for the host Cougars (4-4) in the Claremont Auto Center Classic.
Upland 63, West Covina 53--The Highlanders advanced to the semifinals of the Claremont Auto Center Classic behind 17 points from Eric Holland. TyeJuan Hatter had 15 points and nine rebounds and Andre Lee added eight points and 12 rebounds for Upland, which advances to play Pasadena at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
Pasadena 62, Alta Loma 45 --Braves' leading scorer Terrance Hundley was limited to seven points as no Alta Loma player scored in double figures in the second-round loss at the Claremont Auto Center Classic. Eric Weddle scored eight points to lead Alta Loma, which will play West Covina in a fifth-place semifinal Friday.
La Sierra 69, Arroyo Valley 48--Sophomore 6-3 guard Michael Walker scored 14 points and grabbed seven rebounds for the Hawks (0-2) in their loss to the Eagles (2-1) in a second-round game of the Upland/Rancho Cucamonga Tournament. Temescal Canyon 70, Ayala 53 --Marty Wing led the team with 15 points, while Chuck Ellenwood scored 14 and picked up nine rebounds. Josh Garrett had 13 points and five assists. Dylan Petty contributed 11 points off the bench and Mike Pederson also had 10. Temescal will play in Friday's consolation semifinals at 6 p.m. Temescal Canyon (4-3) had five players in double figures-Marty Wing (15), Chuck Ellenwood (14), Josh Garrett (13), Dylan Petty (11) and Mike Peterson (10). Stu Hatch scored 14 points for Ayala (3-4). The Bulldogs (2-4) received 14 points from Andrew Hatch in the losing effort. Temple City 62, Verdugo Hills 58--Daniel Dingman scored 12 points and Luis Cortes, Salim Kordab and Danny Castro contributed 10 apiece in the loss for the Dons of Tujunga (3-6). Tim Sweeny scored 21 points to lead Temple City (5-0) Sweeney, Desmond Reed and Greg Johnston combined for 55 points as the Rams held on to win.
Simi Valley 60, Franklin 52 (OT)--Junior guard Travis Clark gave the Pioneers a lift when they needed it most, scoring all eight of his points in overtime, including two 3-point baskets. John Schock had 14 points and 10 rebounds for Simi Valley (4-3), which overcame a 12-point first-half lead by Franklin of Highland Park (2-5). Mitch McManus added 13 points, including three 3-pointers in the fourth quarter for the Pioneers. Shock also went 6-6 from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter to help Simi Valley force overtime. K.C. Bellefontaine scored eight points, had nine rebounds and added five assists. Mitch McManus scored 13 points, 12 of those coming from 3-point shots.
St. John Bosco 84, Monrovia 72 --Junior guard Eric Lane scored 18 points and handed out 10 assists, and Gio St. Amant added 20 points and 10 rebounds for St. John Bosco (6-0). Bryant Marxon scored 27 points for Monrovia. Monrovia led, 17-15, late in the first quarter until SJB's Giovanni St. Amat tied the game with a rebound putback at the buzzer. Donald Quiroz buried four 3-pointers as the Braves went on 24-5 run over a 5 1/2 minute span. The Braves scored 30 points in the quarter, led by as many as 17 and held a comfortable 47-35 lead at halftime. Monrovia's senior Bryant Markson, a signee in the fall with Utah, made his third start returning from a torn ACL. Markson, wearing a brace, led all players with 27 points and six blocks. The Wildcats made a 13-4 run early in the fourth quarter, but Steffon Barron, who scored 20 points, missed a breakaway layup after a steal.St. John Bosco scored the next 12 points to put the game out of reach. All five Bosco starters scored in double figures.
Crescenta Valley 57, Quartz Hill 46--Jimmy Goffredo scored 26 points, including six 3-pointers, for the winning Falcons of La Crescenta (6-1), who scored 12 consecutive points after Quartz Hill took a 39-36 lead in the third quarter. Barron Harrell scored 18 points, 16 in the first half, and Mychael Williams had 10 for the Rebels (4-8). Brian Kang grabbed 10 rebounds for CV, and Arin Moradian had six boards. Diamond Ranch 58, Corona 53 (OT) --Diamond Ranch made key free throws in the closing minutes to send the game in to overtime. Diamond Ranch (5-1) then outscored Corona 11-6 for the victory. Michael Earl scored 13 points and had 11 rebounds, both career highs for the junior. Senior Richard Coombs scored six of his team's 11 points in the overtime period. Chino 65, Warren 56 -- Chino built a 16-point lead but had to scramble Wednesday to hold off Warren 62-56 in pool play at the El Dorado Tournament. Aaron Marcey was six for eight from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter and finished with 25 points for Chino. Robert White added 12 points and Ryan Putnam had 11 points and eight rebounds. The Cowboys play Corona on Friday on the final day of pool play.

Glendora 67, Norco 44 --Mike Mehanna scored 19 points for Glendora (7-0). Larry Monroe scored 15 points and Spencer Foster added 11. Glendora will play Etiwanda Friday night, at 8:20.
Etiwanda 59, San Dimas 54 --D'Ornoir Flax scored 16 points and Jacob Johnson had 12 for Etiwanda (6-1). The Eagles advance to the semifinals of the Glendora Tournament on Friday. Curtis Small led San Dimas (4-2) with 21 points and Adrian Ferrera added 14.
Duarte 75, Bassett 54-- Duarte guard Hamzah El'Amin, who had a game-high 23 points, found success from the perimeter, inside and at the free-throw line. Even when El'Amin or any of the other Falcons missed from the free-throw line, Duarte got the rebound and converted the second-chance score. Bassett was led by freshman point guard P.J. Marte, who scored 11 points, all in the second half. The Falcons also received 14 points from Randall Greene and 10 from Justin Bipialaka.

Ontario Christian 64, La Sierra Academy 52 --Greg Talen led the Knights (4-1) with 18 points as they advanced to the fifth-place game of the La Sierra Tournament at 8 tonight. Travis Hoekstra added 11 points and Matt Gabrielse had eight.
Arrowhead Christian 62, Calvary Chapel (Murrieta) 49 --Senior 6-5 center Josh Breckley scored a game-high 16 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as the Eagles (3-0) defeated the Warriors (4-2) in a semifinal game of the La Sierra Tournament. Sophomore 5-8 guard Alan Lewis scored 12 points and grabbed three steals, while Will Britt added eight points for Arrowhead Christian Academy.
Woodcrest Christian 58, Glendale Adventist 46--Cory Wells scored a career-high 35 points and grabbed 14 rebounds as Woodcrest Christian advanced to the finals of the La Sierra Academy Holiday Classic. Fallbrook 72, Arlington 51 --Fallbrook's Cole Lipovac had 17 points and five rebounds. Tim Manning pitched in with eight rebounds for the Warriors. Fallbrook (3-2) led 39-25 at the half and was never threatened in the second half. Four players finished in double digits for the Warriors. Senior Cole Lipovac scored a game-high 17 points, while Ryan Jorde finished with 13. Tim Manning tallied 12 points and Matt Vedenoff scored 10. Arlington (3-4) will face Murrieta Valley at 7:30 p.m. today. Murrieta Valley 63, Fontana 54 --Murrieta struggled out of the gate, but its bench gave it a lift. Senior guard Roman Clugston came off the bench to contribute nine points, all of which he scored in the first half. His jumper at the end of the first quarter gave Murrieta its first lead, 15-13. Clugston also hit a 3-pointer midway through the second quarter to put the Nighthawks back ahead 23-21. Michael Parks scored seven points off the bench and hit a pull-up jumper at the buzzer before the half to pull Murrieta to within one. The Nighthawks hit 15 of 16 attempts from the line in the fourth quarter en route to a 63-54 win over Fontana in the first round of pool play at the Nighthawk Classic. Wednesday, the Nighthawks (4-2) made 19 of their 24 attempts, good for 79 percent. Fontana's Joe Horzen ended the third quarter with a 3-pointer to cut Murrieta's lead to 40-39. The Steelers (1-2) continued to stick with the Nighthawks throughout much of the fourth quarter.Gold Okolugbo, who finished with 14 points, buried a 3-pointer with 2:50 remaining to cut Fontana's deficit to 49-47. That's when Murrieta began its barrage of free throws. On the Nighthawks' next trip down the court, senior Bryan Ricks was fouled, and he knocked down both of his attempts at the line to give Murrieta a 51-47 lead. On Murrieta's next possession, Williams, who was four of four at the line in the fourth quarter, sank a pair of free throws to push the lead to 53-47. A putback by Ricks put the Nighthawks up by eight. Two more free throws from Williams gave Murrieta the only double-digit lead of the night, 61-51. Cameron Porter led the Nighthawks with 13 points, including four points and a pair of free throws in the fourth quarter. Fontana played without 6-foot-5 junior swingman Trayvon Williams, who did not dress, but it still gave Murrieta all it could handle. La Jolla Country Day 70, Ramona 55-- Free-throw shooting was the difference Wednesday as the Ramona High boys basketball team fell to La Jolla Country Day 70-55 in the first round of the Grossmont Tournament. The Bulldogs (1-6) converted on just 11 of 19 free throws, while La Jolla Country Day hit 20 of 23. Chris Robinson made 12 of 12 free throws and scored 26 points to lead the Torres.
