This is another Invitation-only travel team for elite players. Sports Express' spring schedule for 2001 is much more modest in than in prior years, and  does not include the Boo Williams Invitational in Hampton Roads, Virginia, the Las Vegas Easter Classic (UNLV),  or the Kentucky Derby Festival in Lexington, KY at the University of Kentucky.  Instead the team will play at Citrus College in Los Angeles against other traditional Nike-funded teams (and some independents) at a small 8-team tournament.  They may attend the Bob Gibbons Memorial Day tournament, but will stay domestic and not travel to any foreign tournaments as in prior years. The summer schedule will include (for individual players) Nike Camp, the Nike Peach Jam in Augusta, GA, followed by the Nike Super Showcase in Orlando, Fl at the Disney World Sports Complex, and then followed up with the Nike National Championship (or whatever its called this year) in Portland.
