Schedule & Participant Changes:
California Hoop Challenge--(Jan. 5, 2002)
According to the LA Times' Ben Bolch, the list of participants and the schedule for the California Hoop Challenge, set for today at Lynwood HS has changed. Redondo and Inglewood have both dropped out and will play their regular league game elsewhere, i.e., Redondo's home game with Inglewood is schedule for Jan 15 (which is the game which will presumably take place as a part of the Dream Classic; Inglewood's home game with Redondo is set for February 5). Fresno Washington Union has also withdrawn from the event, so Bishop Montgomery will instead play Compton at 10:30 a.m.
According to the Times, here's the new schedule:

| 8:00 p.m. | Crenshaw v. De La Salle | Boys |
Given the open slot from 3:30 -5:00 p.m., we can only wonder why no one thought about starting the whole thing an hour and a half later.....oh well.....
